Israeli nuclear power...!!
On Yom Kippur war in 1973, Golda Meir; the prime mister of Israel that time, ordered the Israeli forces to prepare 8 Falcon aircrafts, provided with nuclear weapons to attack military camps near Cairo and Damascus, in case of attacking Israel after beating the Israeli Army, and releasing Sinai by the Egyptian Army.
For those who are
talking about military confrontation with Israel, thinking with minds of the
first millennium, I just want to explain some point about the Israeli military
power:
First: some people
talk about “sweeping Israel off the map”, forgetting that Israel is the most
powerful entity in Africa and the Middle East. Israel has advanced ranking
level among states on the military scale. It even exceeds Egypt; the most
powerful and largest military in Africa.
Israel has about 176
thousand active military personnel, which is regarded much greater than some
countries like Qatar, of less than 12 thousand military personnel. Egypt is still
the largest army in Africa and the Middle East, of about 450 active military
personnel, and about 1.5 million active and reserve personnel. All civilian
Israelis can be considered as reserve military personnel as they are well
trained and have their own advanced automatic weapons.
Despite this
difference in infantries between Israel and Egypt, Israel is still the greatest
power in Africa and the Middle East, thanks to what it has of advanced military
technology, and great air forces, and large Navy, tactical weapons... Etc!
Second: Israel has
three types of “mass destruction weapons”; it has biological military program,
chemical weapons, besides being, unofficially, nuclear weapon state!
The Israeli nuclear
arsenal:
The Israeli nuclear
program started in the end of 1950s, and the first nuclear bombs were produced
in 1967 (2/13 nuclear bombs in that year).
Israel follows
“nuclear ambiguity” policy, it has not officially declared its possession of
such weapons, nor has denied it. In some speeches of Israeli officials, one can
implicitly understand that Israel possesses such type of weapons, but, not
officially declared.
Some of the most
accurate information about the Israeli nuclear program has been that leaked to
the British journalism – Sunday newspaper - by an Israeli nuclear technician
named “Mordechai Vanunu”, who left Israel after having converted to Christ, and
that was in 1986. According to that information, Israel had about 150 nuclear
warheads and bombs that year.
According to some
American military search sources and CIA reports, Israel possess a number of
nuclear warheads and bombs which ranges from 75-400 ones, and that what the
Iranian president latterly affirmed when he said that “Israel possesses more
than 350 nuclear warheads and bombs”.
Nuclear tests:
Israel has not
operated any announced nuclear tests, and has not signed NTBT, but it’s
believed that Israel ran a nuclear test in South Africa in 1979, and another in
Negev desert.
Nuclear weapon
delivery systems of Israel:
Does Israel have a
system allows it to deliver those nuclear warheads and bombs to any of the
Middle East states?!
Israel has advanced
delivery system that allows it to nuclear strike any country on the earth. This
delivery system consist of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM),
aircrafts, submarines, and others!
First: Israeli
Intercontinental Ballistic missiles:
In 1963, Israel
started its program of producing “Jericho missiles” series, with assistance of
the French military aviation company, “Dassault Aviation”.
Until now there are 3
missiles in this series; Jericho 1, 2, and 3. The last one, Jericho 3, is an Intercontinental
Ballistic missile, with length of 15.5 meters, weight of 30 tons, of a range of
11500 kilometers, and is able to carry one nuclear warhead of 750 kg, or more
than one warhead with less weight. It entered into service since 2008.
With the aid of its
strategic location in the centre of 3 continents; Asia, Africa, and Europe;
Israel’s nuclear warhead carrying - 11500 km range Jericho missiles can nuclear
strike any point in this world, including the six continents.
The distance between
Israel and the farthest point in South Africa in about 6900 km, so it can be
easily and accurately targeted by the Israeli Jericho missiles, and it can also
target Cairo which is far as 400 km from Israel.
This range also covers
the entire Asia, Europe, Oceania, almost North America, and most of South
America except Chile!
The hypersonic impact speed
of Jericho missiles and short distance between Israel and Middle East
countries, does not allow any anti-ballistic sensor systems, may be developed
in Middle East region, to be active or useful. Some of these missiles are silo
launched in fortifications underground and the other some are launched on
mobile vehicles which make them safe against any attack, and make them hard to
be targeted inside Israel!!
The destructive power of nuclear warhead
carrying- Jericho Missiles:
Each Jericho missile
can deliver one warhead, weighing 750 kg, of destructive power equal to 1
Megaton, or 6 smaller warheads of 100 Kilotons for each, with total of 600
Kilotons. The last option is useful in attacking more than one target without
need to more than a missile; the single missile can cover six targets
once.
1 Megaton (Mt) = 1000
Kiloton = million tons; which is the equivalence of the destructive power
resulted from exploding million tons of “TNT”..!!
The destructive power
of “little boy” bomb of Hiroshima, in 1945, was of 12 kilotons ONLY!
This means that the
destructive power of one nuclear warhead-carrying Jericho missile equals about
84 of such “Little Boy” bombs..!
If 12 Kiloton bomb did
what it did in Hiroshima, what if that power becomes 1000 kilotons?!!
Secondly: Israeli
nuclear submarines (USSR):
From the beginning of
1970s, Israel started to annex submarines to its navy, and from that time it
has been always working on developing these submarines. In 1999, Israel
replaced the old “Gal class” submarines with the more modern German-built-
nuclear able “Dolphin Class”. Since 1999, Israel has been able to deliver its
nuclear warheads to the entire Middle East, as these German-built submarines
have its own turbo launchers, which can launch nuclear cruise missiles with
range of 1500 -2400 km.
These submarines give
Israel the superiority of nuclear “second strike”, as these submarines are able
to stay submerged underwater for 6 months continuingly, and can launch missiles
with depth of more than 50 meters underwater, with no need to float. Israel
received more 5 nuclear-powered submarines in May, 2012.
Thirdly: Nuclear
weapons- provided aircrafts:
Israel has aircrafts
able to carry nuclear warheads to very long range; these aircrafts are F 15,
and F 16.
Fourthly: Israel has
some other types of nuclear weapon delivery systems, including smart bombs, and
enhanced radiation guided weapons.
Therefore, Israel has
“mass destruction weapons”; biological weapon program, Chemical weapons, and
nuclear weapon arsenal, appreciated to be about 400 warheads and bombs,
according to 2011 reports.. Besides having accurate nuclear weapon delivery
systems covers the mostly entire world..! … What about the doctrine of nuclear
weapons?!
The doctrine of
Israeli nuclear arsenal:
On Yom Kippur war in 1973, Golda Meir; the prime mister of Israel that time, ordered the Israeli forces to prepare 8 Falcon aircrafts, provided with nuclear weapons to attack military camps near Cairo and Damascus, in case of attacking Israel after beating the Israeli Army, and releasing Sinai by the Egyptian Army.
Avner Cohen; Israeli
historian and writer, was the first one to officially articulate the doctrine
of Israel’s nuclear arsenal; that was in 1966. This doctrine can be summed up
in four points; he called “red lines” lead to nuclear response:
- A
successful military penetration into populated areas within Israel's post-1949
(pre-1967) borders.
This means that in case of carrying out what some people say, like
Sheikh Hegazi, about “going to al-kods (Jerusalem) with millions of martyrs to
release it”, may lead to nuclear response by Israel.
- The destruction of the Israeli
Air Force.
If the Israeli Air forces got involved in any war and was destroyed to a
degree that may threaten its security, this leads to using its nuclear arsenal.
- The exposure of Israeli cities to massive
and devastating air attacks or to possible chemical or biological attacks.
For example, in case of exposing Israeli cities to devastating missile or
aircraft attack, by some country like Iran, it can be enough reason for using
such mass destruction weapons.
Or, for example, falling the Syrian biological weapons in the hands of”Hizb
Allah” (classified as “terrorist organization”), it increases the possibility
of using it against Israel, which pushes Israel to make “preemptive war”, with
nuclear weapons, to prevent it.
- The use of nuclear weapons against Israeli
territory.
If Israel attacked by nuclear weapon state like Pakistan (has nuclear
arsenal of about 100 warheads, with Shahin 2 missile delivery system, of range
2500 km, which doesn’t allow it to attack Israel which is far as 3000 km), it
would lead to nuclear response!
After showing all this military power, I want to say to those who want
to get Egypt involved in a war with Israel, that war is actually with US, which
considers Israel as American land in the Middle East..!
The War would be considered with the US, which has more than 40 military
bases, aircraft carriers, hundreds of deployed “Tomahawk” cruise missiles, and
many military air bases in the Persian Gulf Only, besides 15 thousand personnel
in Kuwait, and 90 thousand personnel in Afghanistan, and many others spreading
in many military bases in the Middle East, and Mediterranean Sea including
Israel itself.
The dream of annihilating Israel is just an illusion, and describing
them as “descendants of apes and pigs”, has never fitted them!!
Therefore, shut up and do not open your mouth, and let us build our
country without any clashes with any..!
